A small child is found on an inner-city Brisbane street in the early hours of a cold late autumn morning at the scene of a bloody shootout between criminals. Not a word spoken, not a reason for being there. And not long after, gone from the police station as though just a figment of Detective Lisa Carlton's imagination.
